Working at Heights Refresher Certification

Working at heights is a common activity, but it can pose serious hazards. Failing to manage risks associated with working at heights can result in severe injuries or fatalities. A proactive and preventive approach will help protect workers. Whether working on ladders, scaffolds, or lifts, working safely is critical. Learn to assess and control hazards related to working at heights and implement preventative measures including fall prevention and fall protection techniques.

The program is :

  • approved by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development’s Chief Prevention Officer
  • delivered by a training provider who has been approved by the Chief Prevention Officer

Training requirements for working at heights are set out in O. Reg. 297/13: Occupational Health and Safety Awareness Training.

This training requirement is in addition to the equipment-specific training required by section 26.2 of O. Reg. 213/91.
