Overhead Crane Awareness Training
The Overhead Crane Safety Training Program is designed to provide participants with a basic understanding about overhead cranes. This training will allow participants to learn about how to inspect and use overhead cranes. The program will also help you, as an operator, eliminate hazards associated with the operation of overhead cranes and rigging. The practical portion of this training will allow the participants to get a hands-on experience using an overhead crane in a controlled environment.
The suggestions and content in this course are not intended to take precedence or to replace existing plant safety rules, regulations or instructions issued by the crane manufacturer.
NOTE: Employers will need to supplement this training program standard with additional information, instruction and training in workplace-specific policies and procedures and workplace-specific equipment related to overhead cranes. This should cover the particular equipment and applications you will encounter in the workplace.
